Mr. Conway is one of the most active members within the Asian media sector. Prior to co-founding Pacific Media Group,
a leading media investor and distributor, Mr. Conway was Chief Executive Officer and then later a member of the Board of Directors of Cogint,
Inc. (NASDAQ “COGT”), a leading media and technology company, whose investors include Dr. Phillip Frost and Mario Gabelli.
From 2010 to 2012, as Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Conway completed a turnaround of the company,
including rebuilding a new Board of Directors and investor group. Mr. Conway added major new concessions,
which increased revenue by 30% in his first year.
In 2016, Mr. Conway led the acquisition of OGC Nice and is a member of its Board of Directors. In the first year of ownership,
OGC Nice finished 3rd place and qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 41 years, while also increasing revenue 48%.
OGC Nice will also open this summer its new €17 million football training center and academy.
Mr. Conway is an investor and part of the Board of Directors of Asian Coast Development Limited,
the owner of Vietnam’s first major casino resort with over $700 million of total investment.
In 2015, Mr. Conway oversaw the $235 million investment by Bona Film Group in a slate of film which included the films The Martian,
X-Men Apocalypse, Independence Day Resurgence and Alien: Covenant. In 2014, Mr. Conway created the venture between DHX Media and CCTV,
which has launched the first children’s entertainment platform with CCTV’s new media subsidiary and foreign content.
Mr. Conway also recently created Fundamental Films development fund with Thunder Road Films
(Producer of Clash of the Titans, Sicario, The Town and John Wick).
Mr. Conway was a Managing Director in the Media Investment Banking Group with Oppenheimer and Co.
From 1998 to 2010, Mr. Conway completed over 60 transactions with Oppenheimer (including with its predecessor CIBC World Markets),
which totaled over $12 billion of transaction value. Mr. Conway raised over $1 billion for companies domiciled in China,
including the IPO’s of Focus Media, AirMedia, Shanda Interactive and 7 Days Inn.
Mr. Conway’s other notable transactions included the $1 billion film securitization for Village Roadshow Limited
(financing over 50 films including The Matrix, Ocean’s 11 and Happy Feet) and the $500 million sale of Movie Distribution Income Fund to Goldman Sachs.
Mr. Conway received his M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School,
where he graduated with Honors and was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami.
